How far in advance do I have to book?
Please book your removal as soon as you have your moving date confirmed. Although short notice bookings are welcome; the more notice you give the better chance of a time slot being available and the better rate you get from us.
Is there a standard moving team?
A standard moving team consists of two men and a luton van with a capacity of approximately 15 cbm, unless a different size is specified. If you’re unsure of the size of vehicle you will require; just use our volume estimation tools. This will give you a good idea of how large your truck should be. Should you, by any chance, find that you’ll need a larger truck, just advise the office and they will do the rest (upgrades are available if needed).
How long will my removal take?
This is a hard nut to crack as removals differ greatly depending on variety of factors. The average move, if such a thing exists, will take up to lunch time to load, at which point you hand over your keys and all being well pick up the keys to your new house. After a break for lunch our removal crew will travel to your new address and unload your possessions into your new house. Unloading is usually quicker because the removal men aren't trying to pack everything into a small space of the van and could be finished in half the time it took to load the van. Just remember that travel time is also an important factor here so ask us for our estimations.
Is there a Minimum charge?
There are no minimum charges. You can hire us for 1 or 2 hours and you are charged only for the time you use our services. For details see our schedule of charges.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Yes, in United Kingdom it is a legal requirement to charge Value Added Tax.
Do your rates include VAT?
Yes, all our rates, where applicable, are inclusive of VAT.
How do I pay for my removal?
Payment is done on completion of the job. You can pay by Cash, Cheque, Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa and many other major cards.
Do you supply packing materials?
Of course, if required we can provide packing materials. This is done at an extra cost and in the most cost efficient way possible.
